Origin Site/Date: The Miniature Schnauzer dates all of the way back to fifteenth century Germany as a normal Schnauzer. Initially bred as a more medium sized dog that could be accustomed to catch rats, it evolved right into a more compact dog throughout the 1800s that would be extra of a companion.
